Jeff Mayo
Principal, CFO
Jeff Mayo is the founder of Sureway Advisors. He started the firm to serve individuals, CRE owners, contractors, homebuilders, and developers.
His experience covers nearly every seat at the table:
- $3B+ in transactions including construction loans, joint ventures, and workouts.
- Real-life underwriting experience including multifamily, townhomes, homebuilding, and mixed-use development.
- Real CFO / CIO / finance leadership experience with Vitae Capital, Highland Homes, Amplitude, and KABR Group
- Investment committee experience with a large $2 billion residential development firm.
- Public accounting roots at Cotton & Company CPAs in Alexandria, VA.
Jay Mayo
Director, Real Estate Services
Jay Mayo brings nearly 30 years of construction project management, facilities, and operations leadership to Sureway Advisors. He gives clients a field-level understanding of how projects are bid, built, and brought in on budget.
- Construction project management. He managed HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls projects from estimate through commissioning and closeout at Carrier Commercial Services.
- Bids and subcontractors. He wrote scopes of work, administered RFQs, and selected subcontractors for millions of dollars in project deliverables.
- Budgets and cost control. He managed capital and expense budgets, financial forecasts, and multi-bid processes across manufacturing and healthcare facilities.
- Team leadership. He has led teams of up to 20 as a Director of Engineering and Director of Plant Operations.
- Compliance. He has maintained compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, NEC, NFPA, and OSHA requirements.
- Education. He holds a BS in Business and Applied Computer Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Administrator
Debbie Truitt has over 40 years of experience as an accounting professional in Texas.
Debbie is responsible for operations and administration.
Debbie practiced as a licensed CPA in Texas for many years, but no longer holds an active CPA license and does not offer attestation or IRS representation services. Debbie lives in Keller, TX.
